What We Do
Function Four's innovative approach to community and knowledge economy solutions has led to the development of several initiatives and products.
E-Index ICT Assessment
Function Four developed the innovative E-Index assessment, which evaluates ICT (information and communication technology) infrastructure, skills, and use in a community. E-Index projects have been conducted in 30 Manitoba and Alberta communities, with more scheduled for 2010.Strengthening Families Maternal Child Health Program
Function Four developed an online implementation of existing paper forms for documenting prenatal and postpartum assessments. This solution provides secure access for caregivers to enter health information and allows supervisors to view a variety of reports. Function Four provides ongoing hosting, support, and updates for this product.Parks Reservation System Queue and Map Application
Function Four developed the Queue application to manage traffic on the opening day of reservations for the Parks and Natural Areas Branch of Manitoba Conservation. We also developed a GIS application used by Parks to maintain geographic data and generate maps used in the PRS.Community Profiles
Function Four developed the Community Profiles application to address the issue of finding and comparing community data sources. This tool, which includes both visual and tabular data views, is intended to support decision-making for community economic development.
